Overcoming Messi and Neymar, Mbappe was given a big ‘privilege’ by PSG

According to the latest information from the French media, Kylian Mbappe has just surpassed Lionel Messi and Neymar to be given a big “privilege” by PSG.

Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar are considered top stars in the PSG shirt. However, except for the French striker, the other two names are facing the possibility of leaving after the 2022/23 season ends.

Most recently, Messi and Neymar were also criticized by PSG fans, asking to leave the club. Therefore, it is highly likely that Mbappe will become the center of the French representative’s play next season.

According to a source from the hexagonal country’s media, the PSG leadership has also decided to give Mbappe a big “privilege”. Specifically, since the 2023/24 season, the striker born in 1998 has been appointed as the club’s captain.

Currently, Marquinhos is the name receiving the responsibility of captain at the team. However, the PSG leadership had a conversation with the midfielder as well as the vice-captain Presnel Kimpembe about giving Mbappe the honor of becoming the leader from next season.

Both agreed to the above plan. Thus, not long after being selected by coach Didier Deschamps to be the captain of the French national team, Mbappe continued to receive a great honor in a club shirt.

This proves the talent and class of the 24-year-old striker. That really brings a great motivation for him to shine more in the future, especially when Messi and Neymar may no longer be attached to PSG after this year’s season ends.

In the current season, Mbappe is the highest performing star of the Paris team. He created 35 goals and 8 assists in just 38 appearances in all competitions – a truly impressive achievement.

He and the club are aiming to successfully defend the Ligue 1 throne. At this time, PSG is under a lot of pressure after the 1-3 loss to Lorient last weekend. This was also the match where Mbappe scored the only goal for the club.

The fact that the PSG leadership trusts and chooses the French striker is also a hidden “announcement” about the possibility of Messi – Neymar leaving this summer transfer window.
