Neymar Discusses Messi’s Departure from PSG and Talks About His Own Future

In a recent interview with streamer Casimiro on YouTube, Neymar opened up about his former PSG teammate Lionel Messi’s departure from the club, commenting that their time together in the past years had not been good.

He shared that he had asked Messi if he was leaving the French club in recent weeks and understood why, as Messi’s family had been affected a lot during their time at PSG. Neymar believed that Messi would be warmly received in Miami and enjoy a completely different life.

Neymar also expressed his disappointment at not achieving PSG’s goal of winning the Champions League, despite having a strong team with the likes of Messi and Mbappé. He acknowledged that football can be unfair and that winning is not always guaranteed.

Regarding his own future at PSG, Neymar emphasized that he has a contract and hopes to stay with the team, despite the strained relationship between the players and the fans. He stated that he would remain committed to the team and continue to play for PSG.

Additionally, Neymar revealed that he had considered retiring from the Brazilian national team after their loss to Croatia in the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Qatar.

He expressed his reluctance to see his family suffer again and go through the pain of losing but ultimately decided that he would continue to play and work towards winning with the team.
